U-SWAB™ Vaginal Swab

The U-SWAB™ Vaginal Swab is a patient-friendly self-collection device designed to provide comfortable, private, and reliable vaginal specimen collection while meeting the demands of modern laboratory workflows. It supports optimal cellular recovery for accurate detection of a broad range of conditions, including bacterial vaginosis, candidiasis (yeast infections), sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and other bacterial or fungal pathogens. It is also well suited for PCR-based testing and sequencing applications, including microbiome analysis.

Flocked swab technology has been shown to provide superior cellular yield and lower invalid rates compared to traditional fiber swabs. In addition, dry self-collected vaginal specimens have demonstrated clinical equivalence to clinician-collected cervical samples for HPV detection when used with validated molecular assays.
